41st National Solar Energy Week of the Mexican Association for Solar Energy ANES

Past October 5th, Angélica Quiñones (Vice-president ANES) and Kira Potowski (Energy adviser CAMEXA) presented the Solar Payback project at the National Solar Energy Week, that took place at the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara, Mexico.

The talk was about the current state of the Solar Payback project. Angelica Quiñones urged the companies to send information on success stories to document the market study of the project, which will provide information to the German Fraunhofer Institute for the development of a tool for calculation of solar thermal systems for the industry.

On the other hand, the launch of the project page www.solar-payback.com was announced.

On the other side, Kira Potowski called on the interested industries to fill out the “Einstein” form so that they can be evaluated to be candidates for an energy study by the Fraunhofer Institute, and – in the case of being the winner- access to around two million Mexican Pesos for the installation of a SHIP plant.

Both speakers exposed the next steps of the project, such as the training courses for financial institutions, as well as the seminar on public policies that are programmed within this project.

The session was attended by more than 50 representatives from different public and private institutions, as well as distinguished members of the solar academic community of CONACYT called RedSolar, the women’s energy and energy efficiency network REDMEREE, and the thermal solar entrepreneur sector.
