SHIP training in India highly interactive

A 3-day SHIP training course was held with more than 20 participants in Pune, India, at the beginning of December. Two solar experts from the German Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Wolfgang Kramer and Theda Zoschke, gave an introduction into SHIP technology, but also illustrated Energy Efficiency Audits, Pinch Analysis and Economic Assessment. The participants appreciated the training as “very interactive” and the content as “high quality oriented”. All presentations are available for download below.

The participants expected among others insides to SHIP technologies and process integration as well as detailed technical solar field design and their expectations were met, as the pie chart below on the right shows.

Part of training was a visit of the testing centre for concentrating solar thermal technology at the University of Pune which is the only NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) approved test lab in India for solar thermal (see photo below). It is one of the two labs with testing facilities as prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
